Biography
Alexis Lawrence was born on February 7th, 1997 in Las
Vegas,NV . She trained at Brown's Las Vegas in 2004 during her level 4 season.
She then moved to Gymcats in Henderson,NV and trained for levels 5-6 . After the
2007 season, Alexis moved to Washington State from Las Vegas,NV. She previously trained at
Auburn Gymnastics Center in Auburn,WA .
Alexis currently trains in her hometown of Kennewick,WA at Garlands Gymnastics. She will graduate from Tri Cities Prep High School in Pasco,WA in 2015.
In 1998 at the age of 18 months, Alexis started taking gymnastics classes .
In 2004, started competing on level 4. Alexis qualified and competed at the Level 4 State Championships.
Alexis competed on level 5 in 2005 and 2006. She finished in the top ten at the
Spring State Championships. At the Fall State Championships, she finished second
on vault and third all-around.
Alexis competed level 6 in 2007. She placed third on bars and
beam at the Go For It Classic. At the Cactus Cooler, she won vault. She finished
second all-around at the Spring State Championships. At the State Championships,
she finished second on vault and third on beam.
In 2008, Alexis competed on level 7.
Alexis competed level 8 in 2009. She finished in the top
fifteen at the State Championships. At Regionals, she placed fourth on beam.
In 2010, Alexis competed level 9. She won floor at the
National Judges Cup. She finished second all-around at the All American
Invitational. At the Long Beach Open, she placed second all-around. Alexis won
bars at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished third on vault.
Alexis placed fourth on bars and fifth all-around at Westerns.
In 2011, Alexis competed level 9 again. Alexis won floor at the
Battle in Seattle. At the Seattle Invitational, she won vault, bars, beam and
the all-around. She finished fourth all-around at the Byers Invitational. At the
March Madness meet, she won bars, beam and the all-around. Alexis finished
second all-around at the State Championships. She placed first on bars and floor
at Regionals. She finished second all-around. At Westerns, she placed fifth on
bars and 17th all-around.
Alexis moved up to level 10 in 2012. She finished fourth
all-around at the Charity Choice Invitational. She placed sixth all-around at
the State Championships. She placed third on floor at Regionals. She qualifed
and competed at JO Nationals.
In 2013, Alexis finished second all-around at the State
Championships. She placed first on bars and second all-around at Regionals. She
qualified and competed at JO Nationals.
In 2014, Alexis competed on level 10 for her third year.
Alexis also competed for Kamiakin High School Gymnastics Team for the 2014 season.
Alexis qualified to JO Nationals again for the third time in 2014.
Alexis is also the 2014 Washington State High School Gymnastics All-Around Champion, and took the state Title! Alexis also helped her High School Team win the state Championship.
Alexis had an excellent year in 2015. After accomplishing her goal of winning the high school gymnastics all around championship, Alexis decided to concentrate on club gymnastics. Alexis finished in 1st place at the Battle in Seattle. Alexis qualified to JO Nationals for her fourth time and finished in 38th place in the AA.
Alexis loves photography, swimming, roller coasters, art, and spending time with friends and family in her spare time. Alexis is considering a future career of a physical/sports therapist, elementary teacher, or a gymnastics coach. Alexis' favorite color is blue.
